Toki Pona

toki! In this episode of "What's Sanloo got into?" we have Toki Pona. It's a conlang created by jan Sonja in 2001. I remember discussing it at uni when we had the topic of conlangs. And that time I didn't pay attention to it. I mean, I didn't dislike it, I actually found it quite cool. I just didn't actively try to learn the language.

But recently I suddenly got the desire to learn Toki Pona. And by suddenly, I mean at almost 3 in the morning on the weekend. And you know what? I actually decide to do it right then and there. And so I watched the first 2 or 3 videos of '12 days of sona pi toki pona' by jan Misali. It's the one I started with, just because I remembered they had these videos. I was surprised that I didn't forget everything the next morning. Then I got sick and so I spent the few days at home studying toki pona instead of concentrating on uni. What a timing lmao. Then I found other sources to learn Toki Pona, including jan Sonja's book.

It's only been a week since I started learning the language, but I think it's paying off. Mi pilin e ni: tenpo ni la mi joe e sona pi toki pona! taso, mi ken la pali e pakala...but it's okay. I'll get better with practice. Maybe I'll start writing everything here exclusively in Toki Pona. Just kidding....unless?

Anyway, here's more of me practising toki pona. mi pilin seme? tenpo ni la monsi mi li pakala. mi wile lape. tenpo mute la mi lape lili tan tomo sona. ni li ike :( Mi moku e ma kili e telo seli. Ni li pona moku.

toki pona li pona tawa mi. ni li pini. mi tawa!
